Program Objectives:
- Fostering and Supporting social, emotional, cognitive, and academic development
- Providing a safe and supportive environment for children and youth
- Improving academic performance and achievement
- Increasing access to enrichment opportunities
- Improving children's attitudes toward school and increasing attendance rates

- Significant gains in standardized math and reading test scores
Program Offerings
- We offer a variety of academic activities (mathematics, reading, and writing) utilizing strategies different from those used throughout the regular academic day. This includes the use of Board Games, Activ Panel student-led, skills-based sessions, mathematics card games, iReady individual prescription practice, Smarter–Balanced test items analyzing & reasoning, and several other activities that have increased the engagement level of the students.
- Homework Assistance: 30 minutes maximum/daily.
- We also offer social–emotional activities through sessions conducted by our school counselor.
- Several of our older students participate in the school’s Eco-Club; they meet weekly on Wednesdays: 3:00 – 4:00 P.M. (The facilitator is one of the Leads of the Eco-Schools V.I.)
Duration
- The program began providing services on October 27, 2024, through December 12, 2024. The program resumed operation on January 13, 2025, and will continue until April 24, 2025.
- Our program operates Monday through Friday between the hours of 3:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M.
