The Library of Jane E. Tuitt Elementary School is envisioned as the center of reading and innovation for students academic advancement.  We are committed to providing library services and resources that will support students 21st-century literacy skills acquisition and development.

Objectives 

As imbued in the VI Department of Education mission/vision, the Library aims:

ACADEMIC SUPPORT

To offer an array of resources in different formats and multifaceted instructional programs that encourage INQUIRY, CREATIVITY, and the LOVE for reading. 

RECREATIONAL

To provide an inviting, differentiated, and friendly learning environment that is responsive to the personal and academic development of the students.

SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

To offer spaces with modern facilities engaging students to become INNOVATIVE thinkers, excellent READERS, and Internationally-Minded.

VALUES FORMATION

To provide strategies that support students in gaining positive behavior and developing impeccable social skills that will help them become good citizens of the US Virgin Islands and the world.
